We are not welcome here. You Stay Away !!

Am not sure where exactly is the below sign carried, or where it might be posted.

It states: 'Please, A Very Serious Warning - We are authorized to fire on any vehicle that approaches the convoy less than 50 meters'

If placed on a moving Humvee, then you must be able to read it from 50 meters afar, assuming that the gunner on a fast moving Humvee can himself measure accurately the distance of objects moving towards him at a distance of 50 meters, and not being at 55 meters, for yet another easily discarded statistic in the horrifically ignored "collateral damage" carnage.

Sovereignty is : There is a 50 meters distance between you
and death every time you leave your home in your own country.
Warning - 'Please, Very Serious Warning - We are authorized to fire on any vehicle that approaches the convoy less than 50 meters'

Perhaps this sign is a response to this incident, captured on video, which occured in Al-Mashahda, near Hawijah on April 8, 2005. Note the white car interjecting itself in the middle of the American convoy. The U.S. Department of Defense reported the death of only one soldier in that area for that day , would you believe.

For those that have requested a source on Resistance video clips, please refer to the Oxford AntiWar site, from which the above video clip is loaded.

An Update:

Also, the set of eight Rafidan video clips and documents on 'businessman' Stofell, are now complete. Kindly refer to The Demise of CIA Shadow Director in Iraq posted on April 2, 2005.

Is American economic bankruptcy the only hope for ending the Iraq nightmare?

EXTRACTS (below): Militarism Threatens to Bankrupt U.S. Economically and Morally

In Iraq, the most prosperous country in the Middle East before our first Gulf War, we helped Saddam Hussein to gain ascendancy, and even supplied chemicals for his chemical warfare, when current Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was there in the 1980s.

Why then are we so universally hated and resented, not just by a new breed of terrorists, but are seen abroad as an arrogant superpower, guilty of an illegal Iraq war, massive arrests, brutal raids and continuing torture?

Competent observers have said that Iraq has never been a direct threat to U.S. security, but it is now a breeding ground for terrorists as a result of the war and occupation, much of which has been shielded from American eyes.

We devastated Fallujah, a city of about 200,000, with orders, as in Vietnam, to "shoot anything that moves."

Informed people . . . agree that Iraq is now a mess, not a budding democracy, but another grab for oil and lucrative U.S. contracts, a la Halliburton, Boeing and others. The best thing is to get out before we kill thousands more Americans, Iraqis and others, and before we turn the Middle East into a smoking cauldron.

As in the case of Vietnam we must . . . just declare victory and go home.

An afterthought:
The "liberating" forces, led by their Commander in Chief and documented by our truth telling national media should depart the Green Zone and walk the streets of Iraq for a week or two, interviewing random Iraqis on the benefits of their newly bestowed freedom and democracy.
