CORRECTION: Iraqi PM plays down kidnap as militia dispute: Deletes reference to government spokesman in paragraph 10. The government spokesman clarified remarks made on Tuesday when he said up to 50 were held and about 20 released. He said those released were part of that 50, not an additional number.

However a spokesman for the Higher Education Ministry reiterated on Wednesday at least 100 men were seized. Spokesman Basil al-Khatib said around 40 had been freed, including 20 released within hours of the kidnap.

Iraqi govt at odds over missing hostages: Higher Education Minister Abd Dhiab, from the Sunni Arab minority, told Reuters that until the hostages were found he would boycott the U.S.-sponsored national unity government led by Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

Wayne Madsen, November 15, 2006 -- According to a U.S. source who was stationed in Anbar province, which has been abandoned by the US to Sunni insurgents, the U.S. Army's First Cavalry Division was supplied with substandard body armor supplied under a sole source contract by an Israeli manufacturer. ...

The Coalition Provisional Authority misappropriated $9 billion of the $18.4 billion appropriated in 2003 by Congress for Iraq reconstruction. The Iraq reconstruction fund grew to $22 billion in the Iraq Relief and Reconstruction Fund. The loss of $9 billion was discovered by U.S. government auditors in late 2004, but the news of the fraud was purposely not made public until 2005. The Bush administration wanted to hide the loss of $9 billion by the CPA so it could not be used as a campaign issue by the Democrats in the 2004 presidential election. ...

The Coalition Provisional Authority's and Iraq PCO's only non-governmental organization (NGO) recipient of funds in Anbar province was the Iraqi Red Crescent. However, U.S. sources on the ground report that the Red Crescent in Anbar primarily used its U.S. funds to purchase weapons for the Sunni insurgents and move them around in ambulances, also bought with Coalition Provisional Authority and PCO funds.

In the initial days of the U.S. attack on Iraq, one of Saddam Hussein's Baghdad palaces was targeted as a strategic target. However, the palace, built by Saddam for his grandchildren as a "theme palace," was anything but a repository for weapons of mass destruction. In fact, Saddam, who used to watch Flintstone cartoons with his grand kids, decided to build a palace in Baghdad that was a replica of Bedrock, the fictional town where Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty, and Dino lived. The palace was a huge playground for Saddam's grandchildren. However, Pentagon planners decided that Bedrock Palace was a threat to the West and it was demolished within the first few hours of the war.

Video (47 min), The Death Squads Exposed: The reality of U.S. occupation Of Iraq - This shocking film investigates the links between the death squads and high-ranking Shia politicians. It reveals how the Shia militia that these politicians control have systematically infiltrated and taken over police units and even entire government ministeries. It investigates how these units are closely linked to the death squads, indeed they often are the death squads. And the killers act with impunity -- there's little investigation into their activities.

Michael Gaddy, Worshipping the State: Why They Die: Does the insurgent in Iraq present a greater danger to freedom than the politicians who signed the Patriot Act without reading it? Is al Qaeda to be feared more than the suspension of the Writ of Habeas Corpus? Is the young Iraqi soldier fighting in the streets of Baghdad more dangerous to our freedoms than the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act, which allows the State to take direct control of any and all National Guard units over the objection of state and local officials to whom they report, through the simple expedient of declaring a "public emergency"? Just exactly who is the greatest threat to our individual rights and freedoms in this country?

Haaretz, Bush gives go-ahead for building 'Bush Center' in Israel: United States President George Bush was informed on Tuesday of an initiative to establish a center under his name in Israel, as a sign of gratitude for his support for the country and its security.

Bush told Ayalon that "freedom"* would be a worthy subject for the center to focus on.

PalestineFreeVoice, GIVATI TERRORIST UNITE - ISRAELI /JEWS COWARDS AND SIMPLE THIEVES: The Israeli/Jews that was participating in the “Autumn Clouds”bloody murder carnage in Biet Hanoun the Givati terrorgang ( Unit) used the time to steal Palestinian private property - money, gold, cellphones and other valuables from the homes of the dead and those who escaped the horror.

The mayor of Beit Hanoun Muhammad Nazek Al-Kafarneh said in a press conference that the "soldiers" of the Givati "unit" ( gang) were not content with murdering and injuring hundreds of people, destroying property valued at millions of dollars, destroying the livelihood of a whole city during their so-called "Autumn Clouds" operation, but they used their time to steal cellphones, gold (which is the most widely used form of saving in Palestine) and other private property from the homes of impoverished people who are already under a genocidal regime of starvation.

It is obvious that these Israeli Jew psycopaths from the Givaty Unit did not steal because they were hungry, they stole Palestinian property because they are simple thieves.

The total value of stolen private property amounts to over 200,000 dollars.

The Biet Hanoun mayor also enumerated the loss and damages which the Israeli terrorists caused in the city of Beit Hanoun:
- The loss due to damages to water equipment is 350,000 dollars.
- The loss due to damages to the infrastructure for processing wasted water is 450,000 dollars.
- The loss due to damage and destruction of Palestinian houses amounts to 2,5 million dollars.
- The loss due to damages to road infrastructure amounts to 3,5 million dollars.
- The loss due to damages to the public gardens and the children gardens amounts to 200,000 dollars.
- The loss and the damages of the electricity net are 2,5 million dollars.
- The losses to the economy of the city amounts to one million dollars.
- The loss due to damages to the communication net amounts to 1,5 million dollars.
- The loss due to damages to public property amounts to 1,5 million dollar.

The mayor said that Israeli State terrorists destroyed 25 public facilities of the city, and other 25 facilities were damaged partially. He gives the amount lost due to these damages as half a million dollars.

Further more the mayor Al-Kafarneh said that 40 shops were destroyed completely; the loss due to the destruction of these shops is 200.000 dollars.

The losses of the Biet Hanoun city in the sectors of agriculture and health are not counted for among the losses given above.

Wahida C. Valiante, The Oppressed in The New World Order: In 1948, Kennan wrote Policy Planning Study 23; it is considered a key document in designing what the American administration calls the "New World Order." Here is an example of what it says:

"We have about 50% of the world's wealth, but only 6.3% of its population … Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity. To do so … our attention will have to be concentrated everywhere on our immediate national objectives … We should cease to talk about vague and unreal objectives such as human rights, the raising of the living standards, and democratization. The day is not far off when we are going to have to deal in ‘straight power’ concepts. The less we are then hampered by idealistic slogans, the better."

This was, of course, a top secret document so to pacify the general public, it was necessary to trumpet the "idealistic slogans" Kennan despised ...

Ahmed Janabi, US army 'seized Iraqi homes': Rabah al-Alwan, 36, head of the Union of Lawyers in al-Anbar governorate in western Iraq, said that the US army has occupied his family's house and those of with dozens of other families in al-Ramadi, the capital of al-Anbar governorate.

Al-Alwan has accused the US army of seizing the whole neighbourhood of al-Soufiya in the centre of al-Ramadi and using the houses for military purposes.

The press desk of the US army command in Iraq did not respond to repeated requests to comment on the claim made by al-Alwan.

Al-Alwan said: "Ten months ago, the US army seized my house and dozens of houses in the neighbourhood where I live. Residents were not allowed take any of their savings, jewellery, furniture or clothes."

Al-Alwan said the US army had installed snipers on the roofs of the houses to prevent anyone approaching the area they have taken over.

He said: "They killed a lot of people, such as Ayad Mutar and Muhamad Ayad, for approaching their houses to try to get some of their families' clothes and belongings."
