Documents: Iran's top agent in Iraq..Al-Maliki ..

.

Another decree (dated March 2, 2007) from Al-Maliki (see the previous posting - Two documents January 26, 2007):
.
The below document is a letter from 'Prime Minister' Al-Maliki to the Iranian ambassador in Iraq assuring him that in coordination with Al-Quds (Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Intelligence), false information is being gathered against 13 Iraqi parliamentarians, who are vehemently opposed to Iran's increasing interference in Iraqi affairs, and intended to be handed over to the American occupiers to deal with them accordingly and at the same time direct the Iraqi legal system to lift their parliamentary immunity in order to arrest them. The intent is to liquidate them, either physically or by arresting them.

The document on the right is the official letter from The Mejlis Al Qadha'a Al A'ala (The High Legal court) asking parliament to deal with one of the 13 parliamentarians, Shaikh Nassir Al Janabi, who is accused of 'terrorist sympathy'. A similar letter is being sent, one or two at a time, to the other 13 parliamentarians who have been exposing the Iranian interference in Iraq and their Secret Death Squads and Prisons.
.

Update: For the doubting Comments below, here is some sort of confirmation on the authenticity of these documents (the news article is in Arabic, reiterating the subject matter of the below two documents).

Dear Imad

I am sorry to say it seems to me that you are being misled. I am not saying that you are forging documents. But the letter purporting to be from Nouri Al-Maliki to the Iranian Ambassador could not be genuine. I give three reasons for such a conclusion:

1. Nobody in a minor official position, let alone that of a PM, would put such matters on paper. Matters of this nature are dealt with otherwise than in official communications that could be easily intercepted as clearly you confirm was done.

2. The language is too basic and flawed Aarbic for Nouri Al-Maliki being a graduate of Arabic.

3. But more importantly, I beg to differ on where he stands. I believe that he has gone completely to the American side and chose to sever his old links to Iran. He was given the opportunity by the US to make the choice and he did. Thus I do not believe that he would be acting for Iran in the way the letter portrayed him doing.

This is how I say things, but I may be wrong.

Salam

Assalamo alaykom.

I hope that you are fine and doing well.

see, all thse documents you send, are just too good ot be true. if they were true how come they are on your mailing list, that wiht all respect nobody in the world knows, instead of being on CNN + BBC + every possible media in the world taking all the media attention 24/7?

That just doesnt make sense.

Wa alaikum Al-Salaam

The 'venerated' mainstream media slightly mentioned, three weeks later, the first posting of January 26, 2007 referred to above.

Go figure.

The above two documents are from the same source.

I am rather surprised that you still have that much faith in CNN, BBC (hopefully not so much in FOX any more).

Have you heard of Scooter Libby?

Have you heard of Rupert Murdoch admitting that his media empire helped in preparing audience minds for Bush's occupation on Iraq?

I would recommend that you would wait a few weeks and watch the news.

Finally, I would think it about time that you might blow out some candles under the icons of CNN and BBC.

All the best

Alexander Cockburn, A Federal Witchhunt; The Persecution of Sami Al-Arian: One of the first big show trials here in the post-9/11 homeland was of a Muslim professor from Florida, now 49, Sami al-Arian. Pro-Israel hawks had resented this computer professor at the University of South Florida long before Atta and the hijackers flew their planes into the Trade towers, because they saw al-Arian, a Palestinian born in Kuwait of parents kicked out of their Homeland in 1948, as an effective agitator here for the Palestinian cause. As John Sugg, a fine journalist, then based in Tampa, who's followed al-Arian's tribulations for years, wrote in the spring of 2006 on this website:

"When was al-Arian important? More than a decade ago, when Israel's Likudniks in the United States, such as [Steven] Emerson, were working feverishly to undermine the Oslo peace process. No Arab voice could be tolerated, and al-Arian was vigorously trying to communicate with our government and its leaders. He was being successful, making speeches to intelligence and military commanders at MacDill AFB's Central Command, inviting the FBI and other officials to attend meetings of his groups. People were beginning to listen and to wonder why only one side of the Middle East debate was heard here. That was the reason for Al-Arian's political prosecution."

[See article for Al-Arian's descent into 'legal' hell.]

On January 22, when Al-Arian appeared before Judge Lee on the charge of contempt, he had this to say about his recent treatment:

"In the past three weeks, I have been to four prisons. I spent fourteen days in the Atlanta penitentiary under 23-hour lockdown, in a roach and rat infested environment. On two occasions, rats shared my diabetic snack. When I was transported from Atlanta to Petersburg (Virginia) and from Petersburg to Alexandria, they allowed me only to wear a t-shirt in subfreezing weather during long walks. In the early morning, the Atlanta guard took my thermal undershirt which I purchased from the prison and threw it in the garbage and when I complained, he threatened to use a lockbox on my handcuffs which would make them extremely uncomfortable. In Petersburg, the guard asked me to take off my clean t-shirt and boxers and gave me dirty and worn out ones. When I complained, he told me to 'shut the f up.' And when I asked why he was treating me like that, he said 'because you're a terrorist.' When I further complained to the lieutenant in charge, he shrugged it off and said if I don't like it, I should write a grievance to the Bureau of Prisons. When I said he had the authority to give me clean clothes, he refused and said if I don't like it I should write a grievance to the Bureau of Prisons. During one of the airlifts, an air marshal further tightened my already tightened handcuffs, and asked me 'Why do you hate us?' I told him, 'I don't hate you.' He said, 'I know who you are, I've read your s-h-i-t.' These are examples of the government's harassment campaign against me that's been taking place for years because of my political beliefs."

Measured against José Padilla, a man driven insane on Rumsfeld's orders, I guess al-Arian is lucky. He's alive, and still sane, though getting weaker by the day. He needs all the support we can muster. Across the globe, where al-Arian's case has aroused much outrage, respect for the US commitment to Constitutional freedoms sinks lower still.

Kurt Nimmo, Fast Tracking the Global Slave Plantation

Kurt Nimmo, As AIPAC Strolls into Town, Politicos Line Up to Kiss the Pinky Ring: “The Democratic-controlled Congress is moving to outflank both the Bush administration and the United Nations with the toughest set of sanctions against Iran that have ever been proposed,” reports the New York Sun. Democrats in control of the corporate and “special interest” whorehouse on the Potomac have introduced “legislation to sanction foreign companies that do business with Iran and to re-impose the import restrictions,” just in time for the convergence of AIPAC, the Bwana of “special interests,” that is to say hijacking government policy and siphoning off billions of dollars to the outlaw state of Israel.

“Yesterday, Aipac spokesman Josh Block said the lobbying push this year has three priorities. To start, the group will try support ‘continued U.S. aid to Israel that helps strengthen American interest in the region by ensuring that our ally Israel remain strong and secure in it’s tough neighborhood.’ That priority is important because the ten-year agreement signed between President Clinton and Prime Minister Netanyahu that phased out the economic assistance element of the $2.4 billion in annual aid Israel receives as a condition of its peace accord with Egypt is set to expire. Today Israeli and American diplomats are negotiating new terms of how the American assistance will be spent.”

Of course, U.S. aid to Israel does anything but “strengthen American interest in the region,” in fact it does quite the opposite. As for Israel’s “tough” neighbors, we can assume this is primarily a reference to Hezbollah, an organization that would not exist if Israel had not invaded Lebanon on numerous occasions. As any resident of southern Lebanon will tell you, for every action there is a reaction, and Hezbollah was a reaction to Israeli brutality.

“Mr. Block also said organization’s activists will be urging lawmakers to withhold aid from ‘going to support or legitimize a Palestinian Authority dominated by a terrorist group, Hamas, which refuses to recognize Israel, renounce violence or abide by previous agreements with the Jewish State.’ That issue is particularly tricky for the Bush administration today because the Palestinian Arab president, Mahmoud Abbas, is currently in negotiations with Hamas, a State Department designated foreign terrorist organization.”

Never mind this “terrorist group,” initially funded and supported by the Israeli government, was elected by the Palestinians, and as such it is quite natural for Mahmoud Abbas to negotiate with them. Not that it matters, as it will be business as usual in the world’s largest open-air prison—staggering unemployment, malnutrition, and poverty will continue to grow exponentially, as planned. It is “tricky” because the United States still props up a crumbly facade, acting like they actually envision a Palestinian homeland, when in fact this “homeland” is such in the same way Bophuthatswana was a “homeland,” actually a contrived Bantustan. AIPAC and Israel would have the Bush administration do away with this fanciful fig leaf altogether and get down to the business of killing more Arabs.

Aseel Kami & Ahmed Rasheed, Dreams of bombs, bad guys haunt Baghdad's children: Iraqi children are haunted by dreams of bad guys wielding knives or kidnapping relatives. For some, like 13-year-old Zaman, the nightmares become reality. She was abducted, beaten and threatened with rape.

"Zaman suffers from shaking, nervousness, a stutter and sleep disorder," said Haider Abdul-Muhsin, a psychiatrist at Baghdad's Ibn Rushd hospital who treats children suffering the consequences of war, four years after the U.S. invasion.

Abdul-Muhsin said Zaman was abducted in Baghdad last month on her way home from school. Zaman was not at the hospital when Reuters visited, but Abdul-Muhsin said few children he had treated recently had affected him as much.

"An elderly woman asked her to help her carry some plastic bags across the road to find a taxi. While she was taking her bags back from Zaman, she grabbed her and forced her into the taxi. She anesthetized Zaman and tied her up," he said.

The girl was held in a room with 15 other girls for seven hours before being released by police who raided the house.

"They beat her, they told her that they would send her to insurgents as a forced 'bride'," Abdul-Muhsin said.

Wayne Madsen, March 8, 2007 : ... German journalist Jürgen Cain Külbel wrote a book titled "Mordakte Hariri," a German-language book (also published in Arabic) that strongly suggests that the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri was not carried out by Syria but by neo-con elements hoping to foment a Lebanese civil war to the benefit of the Israelis and their Lebanese Phalangist allies.

Planned English and French editions of the book were scuttled after it came under attack by British Prime Minister Tony Blair, the neocon-funded U.S. Committee for a Free Lebanon (USCFL), and various groups linked to the Israel Lobby in the United States, Britain, Israel, and Germany.

The neocon propaganda efforts against Western journalists are conducted by a number of on-line entities, including blogs. These include GIYUS (Give Israel Your United Support), a project funded by the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS). More importantly, however, a pro-Bush/Cheney and Likud network has been uncovered operating within the German mainstream media, including Der Spiegel, Die Welt, the NTV network (an news affiliate of CNN), and others. ...

THIS DEFEATED OCCUPATION

We must preempt it

On 10 March 2007 in Baghdad a stillborn regional conference will convene in which the Iraqi people will again be absent, their resistance not represented. Instead, a defeated US occupation will continue attempting to write the fate of the Iraqi people, conspiring with an undemocratic Security Council, as well as neighbouring and regional states, supposedly invited by a puppet government.

What kind of government collaborates with foreign powers against its own people?

What kind of government invites foreign forces to kill its own population?

What kind of government substitutes militias for regular national armed forces?

What kind of government bequests the nation’s oil wealth to foreign powers?

And what kind of government goes begging to its neighbours to let its own citizens flee by millions into their countries?

What is a government that rewards rapists?

What is a government that rewards death squads?

What is a government that lacks so much legitimacy that it has to “surge” for the fourth time its own capital?

What is a government that kidnaps and imprisons and tortures the people?

What is a government that invents new extremes of martial law?

What is a government whose finances cannot be accounted for?

What is a government that shamelessly degrades civil infrastructure?

What is a government that cannot even provide basic services, like clean water and electricity?

And what is a government that is never in the country?

Such a government is the proof that occupation is the highest form of dictatorship.

All peoples in the world aspire to democracy as it is supposed to be the expression of their will. The will of the Iraqi people could not be subjugated to force for the fourth consecutive year. The Iraqi Resistance is democratic by definition, because it is an upsurge of popular will, and is progressive by definition, because it defends the interests of the people.

The only solution in Iraq is the sovereignty of the Iraqi people.

Only the national popular Iraqi Resistance is capable and empowered, both as an objective reality and under international law, to determine a path towards peace and stability in Iraq and end this illegal occupation.

We must pre-empt any new US attempt to impose a lackey government on the Iraqi population by recognizing its resistance as the sole representative of the will of the Iraqi people.

Retrieve recognition from this foreign-imposed backward government and recognize the Iraqi Resistance!
