The Iraqi Resistance Responds to President Obama: by Rafidan. The Political Committee Baghdad

... Despite the fact that you did not mention the Iraqi resistance in your speech, and chose to label us as terrorists along with those who arrived with your troops, we will set that aside for now, and mention a few facts for the record.

1- The people of Iraq whom you addressed, in all their sects colors and religions, refuse your occupation, and those who accept it, are those who benefit from it.

2- The Iraqis you addressed, as we truly hope, are not the ones who bathe in the riches of treason, behind your walls of the green zone, nor are they the likes of Ahmed Al Chalabi, whom your previous government conspired with and his likes from the dark alleys of 5 star hotels in the US and Europe prior to your occupation.

3- The Iraqi people you talked to, are those who never invited your occupation, and were trying their best to survive on what was possible, under the criminal sanctions that went on for 13 years only to be crowned with a foreign occupation, unmatched in criminal acts, in today’s modern world.

President Obama, The suffering, that our people had to go through is beyond comprehension. And the endless crimes of your troops as well as that of neighboring countries, cannot simply be undone or dismissed, nor can they be brushed under the carpet. Your troops still occupy the land and kill the innocent, that is why we can only address you as the president of an occupying nation.

We the Iraqi People and their resistance demand the following:

1- The fulfillment of all the conditions presented to your government through the mediators you sent in 2006.

2- The hand over of all the traitors & Collaborators in the green zone to the Iraqi people where they will be dealt with as any nation would do with in cases of high treason.

3- The full & just compensation for our people for the losses they have suffered.

4- The halting of all compensations paid to those who fall under your umbrella in the region from the resources of our people.

5- The return of all land stolen from our country.

6- The departure of all foreign corporations mainly in the sectors of energy, communication, & infrastructure rebuilding, specifically those linked to Neocon interests. Our people are more than qualified to rebuild and operate our institutions.

7- The hand over of all mercenaries accused of killing innocent civilians mainly security contractors in Black Water and their CEO to be tried for murder.

8- All foreign advisors are to leave Iraq with your troops.

9- The dismantling of all militias equipped by your country and Iran together to shift the nature of battle towards the sectarian nature in order to allow your troops to concentrate on the major resistance activities in the central region of Iraq.

10- The halting of all support to the sectarian government elected in the orchestrated elections in the green zone.

11- The reduction of the influence of your Persian allies in Iraq which your previous government worked with in close conjunction and who continue to fund Al Qaeda on behalf of your intelligence agency’s behalf.

12- The return to the old constitution of a unified Iraq . And the Upholding of new elections within 6 months of the resistance taking power of the nation, this will be supervised, by must be conducted in the presence of a number of credible international monitors. Not the ones sponsored by the CIA.

13- Cities and provinces are to be handed over one by one starting with the four main cities and airports of Baghdad, Basra, then Mosul and Kirkuk in the same order. The rest will fall immediately in our hands. The borders will have other arrangements.

1- We promised to pin down your troops in Iraq and drain your economy until you admit defeat and withdraw your troops. And this we fulfilled.

2- We promised to halt the US plan for Middle East in full, and prevent the loss of other innocent lives in other neighboring countries, and that we fulfilled.

3- We embraced the war and continue the fight on behalf of all the oppressed world, which not only stood still and watched the massacre of our people and the illegal occupation of our nation, but many of it’s leaders participated and continue in harming our people inside and outside Iraq and assist in the theft of our resources. This, apart from the support of honest people all around the world,

4- including citizens of your country, who marched day and night to support the cause of Iraq ’s right to resist, marches that defied the weather, and weathered criminal defiance and ignorance of world politicians. Marches that we will ever be indebt to, and in gratitude & in appreciation for. May god bless those people wherever they are. And this we fulfilled and continue to do so.

5- We have understood the nature of international balances of power and most importantly predicted the primitive mind of the occupation and played a major role in forcing the US to increase oil prices in clear desperation for cash. And use that to allow other powers to recover. And the numbers never lied, this we also fulfilled.

6- The Iraqi People wrote a new chapter in Urban warfare, and invented the art of remote combat, and in turn gave the world lessons and set a new standard in how to defeat the world’s most powerful army. In this, the most dangerous achievement that threatens US global influence is that all the oppressed people who suffer from negative US influence, can use this experience to free themselves as well. This also has been delivered.

7- The Resistance has already drafted its 2, 5 and 10 year plan to engage Iraq in rebuilding programs that will set a new standard for development in the Region and restore Iraq to it’s rightfully earned place in world politics and positive human development. This while maintaining Iraq ’s isolation from harmful neighboring countries at the same time, these plans was prepared and drafted in the early months of 2007 and are ready to implement once we see the end of your occupation.

8- The resistance created a new battle field and utilized every tool available to break free of the corporate media and tell, inform, and educate the world of the true nature of the struggle, and present every curious man and woman daily reports and videos of your military’s defeat and in every language possible. People from all over the world, chose out of their own free will and time, people of different religions and backgrounds chose to be soldiers of the cyber wars and translated all what we had to tell, asking nothing in return but the truth. The true casualties of your war are yet to be declared. (We refer to the green card soldiers)

9- The resistance has sparked not only the collapse of the US economy, but also caused the domino effect and the destruction of your fine tuned and delicate Globalized economy, and forced the return to national economic protection, and the rights of local and regional economies to grow and ensure a decent life and practice their right to develop as well. All your efforts to restore the globalized economy will deliver nothing of value, and puppet governments that maintain your oversight of world resources will eventually fall, one after the other, as their faults will be more evident to their average citizens, and that is why you are now receiving daily reports, from the CIA about the world economy.

ALL THE ABOVE, AND YOU STILL CHOOSE TO IGNORE THE RESISTANCE OF THE IRAQI PEOPLE AND THE RESISTANCE OF THE GLOBAL ALLIANCE OF THE FREE, WHICH WE INTEND TO PROPOSE TO THE WORLD AS THE NEXT STAGE OF FREEING THE PLANET FROM YOUR DOMINANCE WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT.

ALL THIS SAID, AND THE GLOBAL MEDIA WHICH YOU STILL MAINTAIN CONTROL OVER STILL LABELS FREE PEOPLE AS TERRORISTS AND EQUALS THE RESISTANCE OF OCCUPATION WITH CRIMINAL ACTS OF STRIKING CIVILIANS IN BUILDING AND TERRORISING THE LIVES OF THE INNOCENT.

You must understand that the time when your foreign policy bullied and bribed people into submission is over and for a considerable time. And your politicians and strategists have to understand that to be accepted as a superpower you must first learn to speak to the world with modesty and respect that others in this planet, also have the right to provide for their families a decent life, the right to food and water, the right to education and knowledge, the right to industry and employment, and free from your corporate despotism.

We in the Iraqi resistance, renew our pledge to our people and to our brothers and sisters in the global family, to continue the fight and struggle to free Iraq and give our allies the chance to follow suite.

Bishop Williamson and `Holocaust Denial’: Why the Uproar? Bishop Williamson holds unconventional views on a range of issues. He has repeatedly said that Nine-Eleven was an “inside job,” and believes that the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks were organized by the US government. But no one is demanding that Williamson apologize for charging that high-level US officials carried out mass murder of their own fellow citizens. Indeed, if the US government were to insist on such an apology, it would rightly be regarded as an act of arrogant effrontery.

Tony Judt, a Jewish scholar who serves as director of the Remarque Institute at New York University, has written:

“The Shoah [Hebrew term for Holocaust] is frequently exploited in America and Israel to deflect and forbid any criticism of Israel. Indeed, the Holocaust of Europe's Jews is nowadays exploited thrice over: It gives American Jews in particular a unique, retrospective ‘victim identity’; it allows Israel to trump any other nation's sufferings (and justify its own excesses) with the claim that the Jewish catastrophe was unique and incompa­rable; and (in contradiction to the first two) it is adduced as an all-purpose metaphor for evil -- anywhere, everywhere and always -- and taught to schoolchildren all over America and Europe without any reference to context or cause. This modern instrumentalization of the Holocaust for political advantage is ethically disreputable and politically imprudent.”

Norman Finkelstein, a Jewish scholar who teaches at DePaul University in Chicago, writes in his bestselling book, The Holocaust Industry, that “invoking The Holocaust” is “a ploy to delegitimize all criticism of Jews.” He adds: “By conferring total blamelessness on Jews, the Holocaust dogma immunizes Israel and American Jewry from legitimate censure... Organized American Jewry has ex­ploited the Nazi holocaust to deflect criticism of Israel's and its own morally indefensible policies.”

In Israel, says Tom Segev, a prominent Israeli journalist and author, the Holocaust has become “an object of worship.” Moreover, he writes, “the 'heritage of the Holocaust,’ as it is taught in [Israel’s] schools and fostered in national memorial ceremonies, often encourages insular chauvinism and a sense that the Nazi extermination of the Jews justifies any act that seems to contribute to Israel’s security, including the oppression of the population in the territories occupied by Israel in the Six-Day War.”

But the Business and Media Institute wasn't impressed, saying "the goons at Comedy Central had sharpened their knives and cut into Santelli."

March 9, 2009 -- More on Israel's colonization plans for Iraq: Corporate news media could use a little dose of reality from American journalists who knew the Middle East like the backs of their hands. One such journalist was my friend John K. Cooley, ABC's longtime Middle East correspondent, Christian Science Monitor Middle East reporter, and prolific author of books on the Middle East, Islam, and terrorism. John died last August 6 after a valiant struggle with cancer.

The following is culled from Cooley's article, titled "The Israeli Factor," which appeared in October/November 2005 issue of The Link, a publication of Americans for Middle East Understanding (AMEU).

The Jews of Iraq flourished under the Abbasid caliphs in Baghdad. "The Jews established a system of autonomous self-government under an executive called the exilarch. He was supposed to be a descendant of Israel's King David (1000-961 BC). His office was hereditary."

After the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Sephardic Jews from Spain by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella in 1492, the Ottomon Sultan Bayezit II welcomed them to his empire. From Cooley's article: "Soon the European Jewish immigrants were encroaching cities like Istanbul, Baghdad and Mosul with their arts, crafts and skills."

However, Jews in Baghdad began to emigrate from the city in the 1800s. From Cooley: "By 1853, according to figures compiled by the American Jewish Committee, only about 3,000 Jews remained in Baghdad. In 1853, they joined with the majority Sunni Arabs then living in Baghdad and Mosul to fight against one of the recurrent Kurdish rebellions in northern Mesopotamia."

As Zionist influence began to be felt in Baghdad before and after the British conquest of World War I, Cooley wrote, animosity grew "between the self-appointed and comfortably established, self-declared heirs of Babylonian Jewry and the mainly young and hyper-active Zionists,who came from the West. The Zionists dreamt of variations of Theodore Herzl's Judenstat, a Jewish national state with no determined boundaries."

Cooley continued, "In 1909, an early Zionist group called The General Jewish Colonization Association tried to persuade the Young Turk rulers to bring masses of Jewish settlers into Turkish-ruled Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, Cyprus, Syria and Eastern Turkey (Anatolia). Personal funds of the settlers and subsidies from banks and special societies were to support emigration. The British ambassador in Istanbul reported to London that the Zionist group wanted to found 'an autonomous Jewish state in Mesopotamia.' Nothing came of this, except added tensions among Christian, Muslim, and Jewish communities in the region."

After World War II, a former Ottomon Iraqi politician named Nuri al-Said and Israel's David Ben-Gurion cooperated to extract some 300,000 Jews in Iraq to be re-settled in Israel. According to Cooley, "Israel entrusted this to members of its fledgling Mossad, its external civilian intelligence service. The Israelis named the operation after two Biblical prophets: Ezra and Nehemiah. This writer first heard details during an early reporting trip to Iraq in January 1969. Myself and a small busload of other correspondents were repeatedly arrested by police and muhabarat worthies as we followed the trial of 14 Iraqis, nine of them Jews, including boys of 15 and 16, who were hanged for alleged espionage before big crowds in Baghdad."

Cooley proceeds to describe the Mossad false flag attacks that prompted the exodus of Iraqi Jews to Israel. "Naiem Giladi, an Iraqi-born Jew, told his life story to The Link in 1998. HIs forebearers were the Haroon family, descendants of the builders of the Prophet Ezekiel's tomb near the ruins of ancient Babylon. Giladi worked for Mossad B [a clandestine Haganah cell] in the Iraqi Jewish underground. As an 18-year-old he was caught by Iraqi secret police while helping fellow Jews to emigrate to Israel. His captors incarcerated him in the Abu Ghraib prison, of ill-fame during today's U.S. occupation. Sentenced to be hanged, Giladi carefully planned a successful escape to Israel. There he experienced the frustration of thousands of other immigrants from Arab and Muslim societies.

Giladi witnessed the dumping of overcrowded Gaza of Palestinian prisoners who wouldn't collaborate with the Israeli authorities. Soon he appeared in the front ranks of civil rights activities."

Giladi opposed the 1982 Ariel Sharon-led invasion of Lebanon in 1982. Cooley wrote: "Giladi then emigrated to the U.S. He renounced his Israeli nationality and acquired American citizenship. Giladi sold his house in Israel and used proceeds to publish his book, "Ben Gurion's Scandals: How the Haganah and the Mossad Eliminated the Jews." It describes violence and terrorism against Jews in Iraq in 1950 and 1951. Giladi asserts the bombings of prospective Jewish emigrants and Jewish property, including synagogues, were perpetrated by Mossad agents in order to expedite Iraqi Jewry's move to Israel. His contentions are supported by other contemporary accounts of his Iraqi-born compatriots."

Mossad's clumsy false flag operations in Iraq and Egypt caused Ben Gurion to change course. Cooley wrote: "Mossad needed to recover from several severe reverses. In Egypt, clumsy bombings of U.S. installations by Israeli agents meant to look like the work of {Gamal Abdel] Nasser's military-backed regime, resulted in prison and hangings of the confessed bombers. In Iraq, breakup of the clandestine emigration net of "Operation Ezra and Nehemiah" led to 28 espionage sentences against Iraqi Jews, and commuted death sentences against two Israeli Mossad agents."

Cooley: "Ben-Gurion resolved to cement alliances, both official and overt, and unofficial and covert, with non-Arab Turkey, Iran, Ethiopia and other African nations, Muslim or otherwise -- and the Kurds. . . Leaders of Israel's then ruling Labor Party, including Defense Minister Shimon Peres, began secret meetings with Iraqi Kurds in 1964. In June 1966, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol and Foreign Minister Abba Eban secretly visited Tehran, probably to coordinate a later covert politico-military mission to Mustafa Barzani's [Kurdish] mountain headquarters. Israeli arms and military training were promised . . . Later, Barzani visited Israel and met politicians including Menachem Begin. Mossad and the Shah's secret service, SAVAK, helped create a Kurdish intelligence service, called Parastin.

Cooley describes the blueprint for an expansionist Israel in the Middle East, a study written by Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, and David Wurmser called "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm," originally prepared for Israel's far right-wing Likudnik Binyamin Netanyahu, but later adopted by the George W. Bush neocon cell in the Pentagon. The plan called for a complete repudiation of an independent Palestinian state and the overthrow of governments in Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. It also called for the restoration of the Hashemite monarchy in Iraq. The study states: "Israel has an interest in supporting the Hashemites in their efforts to redefine Iraq."

That redefinition is the basis for Israel's acquisition of land and property in northern Iraq and at ancient Jewish sites in the rest of the country.

Freeman speaks out on his exit: The libels on me and their easily traceable email trails show conclusively that there is a powerful lobby determined to prevent any view other than its own from being aired, still less to factor in American understanding of trends and events in the Middle East. The tactics of the Israel Lobby plumb the depths of dishonor and indecency and include character assassination, selective misquotation, the willful distortion of the record, the fabrication of falsehoods, and an utter disregard for the truth. The aim of this Lobby is control of the policy process through the exercise of a veto over the appointment of people who dispute the wisdom of its views, the substitution of political correctness for analysis, and the exclusion of any and all options for decision by Americans and our government other than those that it favors.

There is a special irony in having been accused of improper regard for the opinions of foreign governments and societies by a group so clearly intent on enforcing adherence to the policies of a foreign government – in this case, the government of Israel. I believe that the inability of the American public to discuss, or the government to consider, any option for US policies in the Middle East opposed by the ruling faction in Israeli politics has allowed that faction to adopt and sustain policies that ultimately threaten the existence of the state of Israel. It is not permitted for anyone in the United States to say so. This is not just a tragedy for Israelis and their neighbors in the Middle East; it is doing widening damage to the national security of the United States.
 

Archbishop Theodosius: Pope not welcome in Jerusalem: - We are not against the Pope’s visit to Yad Vashem, but before expressing solidarity with the Jews, he should show solidarity with the Christians of Palestine. We have our own tragic memories; our Yad Vashem is in Gaza, said the Archbishop, and then added: “let the Pope begin his visit with Gaza first”.

Archbishop Theodosius Atallah Hanna is a man of his own mind: he refused to meet with President Bush, befriended the Muslim Mufti of Jerusalem and defended Pope Benedict when he was attacked for what was considered anti-Muslim talk. Now he expresses the feelings of many Palestinian Christians, this oldest Christian community in the world. ...

Regarding the papal visit, the Catholics and the Orthodox are of one mind. Before the Gaza war, Father Manuel Musallam, head of the Roman Catholic Church in the Gaza, said that it is Gaza’s right not to die, and if it dies it will be in the battlefield. The Catholic believers, priests and monks of the Holy Land forwarded the Pope a secret letter calling on him to postpone his visit to some future time. The Vatican read the letter but decided to disregard it. Now, when the blood shed by Jews in Gaza is still warm, Israel will certainly portray this visit as a sign of papal approval.

The Pope’s visit to the Holocaust Memorial is troubling.

The Museum adjacent to Memorial contains some rude defamation of the late Pope Pius; and the Jews have refused to remove it.

Even worse, the Holocaust is used to justify mass murder in Gaza; coming first to Yad vaShem sends a wrong symbol of accepting Jewish superiority over Christendom.

The forthcoming visit of the Pope was engendered by a ruse: traditionalist Bishop Msgr. Williamson was re-communicated with the Church, and at the same time his interview regarding the Jewish holocaust was aired. The scandal was enormous. If Williamson were to blaspheme Christ and the Church he would be applauded for his free mind; as things are, the Pope was forced to beg forgiveness of his "elder brothers the Jews," and even depart on this Canossa-like trip with its scheduled meetings with Israeli war criminals.

And it’s still going on. None of Obama’s reversals of Bush executive orders say anything about abolishing the Joint Special Operations Command. Indeed, the specialist unit is an integral part of Obama’s vastly expanded bombing raids and other incursions in Pakistan.

- How it works: Charles Freeman is such an American patriot that he actually stuck his neck out even further and named the identity of those who blocked him, knowing as he knew that the usual suspects would deflect criticism by claiming he was out for some ridiculous and spurious reason.

I'm going to type slowly so that even the Noamites can follow. There are two American establishments, the WASP Old American Establishment, and the Jewish New American Establishment. ...

The attacks on Freeman were coded versions of the slur (the Audubon guide to Jews and American 'progressives' lists the slur as their distinctive call). Since we're told that the American Establishment controls everything, and Freeman is out, and Freeman blames the Lobby for his troubles, and the Lobby either doesn't exist, or by Noamian definition, can't have any power, Freeman's blaming of the Jews must just be 'anti-Semitism', which proves exactly what the Jews were saying precluded him! Q. E. D. That's how it works!
