Bye bye US dollar .... Update: A caveat

The above article in Arabic, by Haifa Zangana, is titled "The Emporer is Parading Naked in the Fortress of the Green Zone." (it can be loosely translated to English by Google or Bing). In it she debunks Maliki's claim that ""the withdrawal of the occupiers is the result of the strategic negotiatins adopted by the patriotic [sic] unity government in dealing with the presence of the occupation forces". The article clearly ellucidates that it was in fact the Iraqi Armed Resistance with at peak of 5000 armed atacks per month (in October 2007) i.e. 180 attacks a day or 7 attacks on average per hour as per the tally of the Brookings Institute, that broke the occupiers back.
